Kiyumba washing station is a bit different from the other stations. This station was established in 2018. However, our agronomists have been working with farmers since later 2016 to prepare them and plant new trees. We started our operation in this region after a long period of studies in the area. Basically, Kiyumba is located. very high mountains of Muhanda, Gakenye and Ngororero district. This is the real typical location for Rwandan coffee and is very rare to find a station in these very far remote places as the accessibility is very challenging. The quality of the bean from Kiyumba is very impressive. As a result, in its first year of operation Kiyumba coffee has been ranked in 15 best coffee in 2018 Alliance coffee cup of Excellence.
