The Kinunga washing station is located right to the shore of Kivu lake, in the Nyabitekeri localities. This station was established in 2016. Basically, the establishment of this station was the response to the farmers of the area. After we started operating in the Bushenge and Shangi area, we have received many calls from farmers in the area to come to help them grow and process their coffee. That's how Shangi washing station gave birth to kinunga station. People from this area are very inspiring in so many ways. Usually, most people here rely on fishing and other maritime-related activities. But the hard work and effort they use while conducting fishing and coffee farming inspires our company and everyone who visits the Impala peninsula.

The quality of coffee in Kinunga is ranking in one of the best as most of the trees are ten years old and, on many farms, around five years. In Addition to that, the treatment of coffee from seedlings, our farmers are exceptional.

You are planning to visit the area, I am sure you will love the famous Isambaza and Indugu (the celebrated seafood of Kivu lake).
