Farms of Gitambi washing stations are located in the mountains of Busozo and the Rusizi Valley. The area is also known as Gikundamvura, which means “the place that loves much rain".  The station is also within walking distance from the Burundi border. The very Fertile sandy loam soil alongside Rusizi and Rubyiro rivers gives our bean to be one of the dense in Rwandan coffee.

Due to regional particularity in elevation, temperature, soil type, the Gitambi station can operate the harvest season up to the end of June. Gitambi station employs 4 permanent workers and more than 100 seasonal workers. Gitambi station provides agricultural practices training to 750 farmers on growing, harvesting mature and ripened coffee cherries, pests, and disease control.
